There are a lot of fun shops to browse, but when driving along bucolic stretches of road, you may wonder where anything commercial might be found. Urbanna and Deltaville, Gloucester Court House and Hayes are areas that have a good number of shops that visitors can enjoy. There are others along the way. Here's a list to get you started. For now, it only covers the Bay end of the peninsula. Keep in mind that local business hours are often short; shops for non-essentials may open at 10 or 11 and close at 4 or 5.

State highways and county roads have names rather than numbers when used for mailing addresses. Here are the main roads in our end of the peninsula:
